Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CFB Weekly (“CFB Weekly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, read our journalism, subscribe to email updates, submit a privacy request, or use staff publishing tools.
Information we collect
Information you provide. We collect an email address and consent records when you join the newsletter. A privacy request may include your name, email address, relationship to the person concerned, request type, and the details you provide. Authorized staff accounts provide login credentials to our authentication provider and may upload article images and editorial content.
Information collected automatically. Essential browser storage remembers privacy choices, login state for authorized staff, and limited interface settings. If you accept optional audience measurement, we create a random browser identifier and collect the article viewed, time, and limited referring-page information. We do not need your name for this measurement.
Information from others. If a parent, guardian, or authorized agent submits a request for someone else, we may ask for information reasonably needed to verify authority and protect the individual concerned.
How we use information
- Publish and operate CFB Weekly;
- send requested newsletter emails and maintain unsubscribe preferences;
- measure readership when permission is given;
- authenticate staff and protect publishing tools;
- respond to privacy requests, prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with law; and
- maintain and improve site reliability and security.
How we disclose information
We may provide information to vendors that host the site, database, authentication, storage, email delivery, and fonts, but only for services they provide to us. Our site links to Instagram and TikTok; those services receive information under their own policies when you follow a link. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or as part of a business transaction.
CFB Weekly does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use advertising cookies. If those practices change, we will update this notice and provide required choices before using information that way.
Children’s privacy
Anyone may read CFB Weekly, but our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information was submitted by a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may use our privacy request form to ask us to review or delete a child’s information.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including maintaining subscriptions and opt-outs, processing requests, resolving disputes, protecting the service, and meeting legal obligations. Retention can vary by record. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe using the link included in a newsletter. You can accept, reject, or revisit optional analytics through “Privacy choices” at the bottom of the site. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and to appeal or use an authorized agent. We may need to verify a request and may retain information where law permits.
Submit a request through the Privacy Request page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
International visitors and changes
CFB Weekly operates in Florida, United States. If you access the site elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States. We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The date above shows the latest revision; material changes may also be highlighted on the site.
